Pero ojo: <strong>no es un lugar donde pasar el d\u00eda<\/strong>, sino su refugio entre sesiones de juego fuera de ella. Aqu\u00ed tienes c\u00f3mo elegirla y qu\u00e9 debe llevar.<\/p><h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tama\u00f1o debe tener?<\/h2><p>La regla es sencilla: <strong>cuanto m\u00e1s grande, mejor<\/strong>. Lo ideal es una jaula de <strong>varios pisos<\/strong>, con espacio para hamaca, arenero, comida y agua sin que est\u00e9 todo apretado. Como referencia orientativa, muchas gu\u00edas recomiendan una base de alrededor de <strong>90 \u00d7 60 cm<\/strong> y bastante altura para uno o dos hurones.<\/p><p>Si tienes dos, necesitar\u00e1s m\u00e1s espacio todav\u00eda.<\/p><h2>Barrotes, suelos y puertas<\/h2><ul><li><p><strong>Separaci\u00f3n de barrotes:<\/strong> los hurones se cuelan por huecos muy peque\u00f1os. Como referencia, no m\u00e1s de unos <strong>2,5 cm<\/strong> (menos si es un cachorro).<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Suelos:<\/strong> evita los suelos de rejilla, que pueden da\u00f1arles las patas. Mejor bases s\u00f3lidas o cubiertas con material blando.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Rampas:<\/strong> con buen agarre y sin demasiada pendiente.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Cierres:<\/strong> son muy h\u00e1biles y aprenden a abrir pestillos sencillos. Usa cierres seguros, como mosquetones o pestillos dobles.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2>Qu\u00e9 debe llevar dentro<\/h2><ul><li><p><strong>Hamacas y zonas de descanso:<\/strong> les encanta dormir en hamacas, mantas o sacos.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Arenero en una esquina:<\/strong> suelen elegir un rinc\u00f3n para sus necesidades.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Comedero pesado<\/strong> (cer\u00e1mica o metal), para que no lo vuelque.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Bebedero:<\/strong> de botella o cuenco, siempre con agua fresca.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Un par de juguetes seguros<\/strong> (<a href='https:\/\/donhuron.com\/juguetes-para-hurones-seguros-y-cuales-evitar\/'>cu\u00e1les elegir<\/a>).<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2>Arena y materiales: qu\u00e9 evitar<\/h2><ul><li><p>Evita las <strong>virutas de cedro o pino<\/strong> y las <strong>arenas aglomerantes<\/strong>, que pueden irritar sus v\u00edas respiratorias o causar problemas si las ingieren.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Prefiere arenas de <strong>papel reciclado o similares<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Evita materiales blandos que puedan morder y tragar, como gomas o espumas.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2>D\u00f3nde colocarla<\/h2><ul><li><p><strong>Lejos del sol directo y de zonas muy calurosas:<\/strong> el calor es uno de sus mayores riesgos. Por encima de unos 28\u201330 \u00b0C pueden sufrir un golpe de calor.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Sin corrientes de aire<\/strong> ni humedad.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>En una zona con vida familiar<\/strong>, para que no se aburra, pero sin ruido excesivo.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2>Limpieza<\/h2><p>Cambia la arena a diario o cada pocos d\u00edas y limpia a fondo la jaula y las mantas con regularidad.
